  • 1999 – Spectaguard acquired Effective Security Systems and Effective Management Services, of White Plains, NY.
  • 2000 – Spectaguard acquired Allied and combines to form Allied Security – the third largest security company in the United States.
  • 2003 – Allied acquires Professional Security Bureau (PSB).
  • 2004 – Allied acquires Security Systems Inc. (SSI) of Malden, MA and Barton Protective Services to form AlliedBarton Security Services – creating the largest American-owned contract security services company in the United States.
  • 2006 – AlliedBarton acquires Initial Security
  • 2015 – Wendel acquires AlliedBarton Security Services”

If interested in working for Allied Barton, you should be aware of a few things

Appearance Guidelines:

Uniforms will be provided. Men’s hair must be cut in a conventional style, be a natural color, collar length in the back, less than half of the ear covered on the side. Neat, closely trimmed and groomed beards and mustaches are permitted if allowed at the client site. Men cannot wear earrings or other visible piercings while on duty. Women’s hair must be cut in a conventional style, be a natural color; if shoulder length or longer, hair must be pulled back for safety. Post-type earrings no larger than a dime may be worn. No other visible piercings while on duty.

AlliedBarton will make reasonable accommodations for appearance for religious reasons in accordance with state and federal law.

Allied Barton will employ first time guards, if they meet the following criteria:

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Proof of ability to work in the United States
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • High school diploma/GED or 10 years of verifiable work experience.
